Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zver Borcuha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey DeMaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMaio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

DeMaio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Borcuha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Borcuha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Borcuha postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! DeMaio is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Borcuha, into his guard.

Borcuha has his foot on DeMaio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeMaio works his way back into a safe position though.

Borcuha throws his legs up looking for a submission but DeMaio uses it to pass to side control.

DeMaio tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no DeMaio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

DeMaio is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Borcuha is trying to escape and DeMaio transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Borcuha is forced to tap! Nice work there by DeMaio! Very nice indeed!
