Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Slash - By the Sword. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cortez.
Munoz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Munoz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Munoz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cortez - the referee stops the clock and Munoz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cortez. Munoz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Munoz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cortez tries to avoid it but Munoz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cortez to the ground. Cortez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hector Munoz.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Munoz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
