Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gop Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Trumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trumble has chosen Gonna get you again Gracie! as his entrance music. Gop Gracie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Trumble's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gop Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derek Trumble!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trumble is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gop Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Trumble.
Trumble moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Trumble walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Trumble.
Gracie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Trumble shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gracie has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Trumble!
Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Trumble is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Trumble is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Trumble has control of Gracie's left arm, preventing Gracie from doing any damage.

Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Trumble is retaining full guard.

Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Trumble lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trumble is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Trumble circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Trumble's half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Trumble defends it well.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Trumble counters with a good, hard body kick but Gracie shrugs it off.

Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Trumble counters with a body kick that stops Gracie in his tracks momentarily.
Trumble lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Trumble misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Trumble throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Trumble shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Trumble gets slowly back to his feet.
Trumble throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gracie.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Trumble throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Trumble shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Trumble throws a front kick that sends Gracie stumbling back into the cage.
Trumble shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Gop Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Trumble.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gracie stands and throws Trumble's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Gracie decides to stand up, so the ref orders Trumble to his feet.

Trumble tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Trumble counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Gracie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gracie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trumble, pushing him back against the cage.
Trumble wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Trumble pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trumble lands a head kick. Gracie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trumble throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

and Trumble counters with a takedown into side control.

Gracie wants to control but Trumble postures up.
Gracie throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Gracie tries to buck Trumble off but Trumble is having none of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is trying to improve his position.
Gracie is letting Trumble control him for a moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie looks to move to half guard but instead Trumble has passed into mount! Damn!
Gracie tries to hold on but Trumble postures up.
Trumble controlling his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Derek Trumble showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Gracie dives in and grabs Trumble's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trumble pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Trumble dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gracie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Trumble defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gracie.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Trumble throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Gop Gracie has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Trumble can pounce on him.
A head kick from Trumble lands but Gracie takes it in his stride.
Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Trumble rushes Gracie and presses him up against the cage.

Trumble escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Trumble counters with a body kick that stops Gracie in his tracks momentarily.
Trumble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Trumble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Trumble counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Trumble circles away easily
and Trumble counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Trumble shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Trumble gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Trumble prevents Gracie from getting the reversal.
Trumble controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Trumble has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gracie regains half guard.
Gracie misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gracie is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Trumble is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gracie is trying to maintain the position but Trumble is very close to passing his half guard.

Derek Trumble comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
