Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sem Shilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryan malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ryan malone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

malone has control of Shilt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shilt regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shilt is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Shilt is trying to stick to malone's back but malone is turning into Shilt. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Shilt's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by malone.

Shilt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shilt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Shilt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but malone avoids it really well and circles away.

malone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shilt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Shilt jumps guard and drags malone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shilt is pulling down on malone's head. It's preventing any offense from malone, at least for the moment.

malone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shilt looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shilt looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shilt!

Shilt has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Shilt keeps control of malone as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Shilt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shilt shoots for a double leg takedown but malone sprawls well. He's pushed Shilt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shilt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Shilt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. malone fights it off and pushes away nicely.

malone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
