Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakobi Smithy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Freak on a Leash. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shephard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smithy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Smithy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shephard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shephard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Smithy uses his free foot to push down on Shephard's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shephard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shephard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
