The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
north wants to clinch.
north misses with the combination.
Leben connects with a solid leg kick.
north is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Leben connects with a looping right hand.
Leben throws a sloppy head kick and north moves out of range easily.
north looks to land a combination but Leben avoids it well.
north blocks a head kick by Leben.
Leben plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Michael Leben has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
north is looking to clinch but Leben is avoiding it.

north clinches up with Leben and pushes him back against the cage.

north gets through Leben's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
north keeps control of Leben as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Leben breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
north pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leben throws a left and a right that both miss

and north counters with a nice double leg into side control. Leben won't be happy with that.

north is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leben is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

north tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no north has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
north in side control lands a decent elbow.

Leben tries to get back to half guard but can't.

north has an Americana. Leben didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! north is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if north hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
