Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inuyasha Kagome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Sakuraba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Inuyasha Kagome!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kagome's waist but Kagome gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sakuraba off to one side.
Kagome has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kagome will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sakuraba up against the ropes.

Kagome continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Kagome breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kagome tries to clinch but Sakuraba moves out of range.
Kagome closes the distance and clinches.

Inuyasha Kagome seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sakuraba keeps the fight on the outside.
Sakuraba is looking to clinch but Kagome is avoiding it.
Kagome tries to clinch
and Sakuraba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kagome won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sakuraba is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kagome looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sakuraba gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kagome is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sakuraba lets go of the hold and Kagome can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kazushi Sakuraba!
