Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Super Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jackson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Slayer cracks a nice hook into Jackson's ribs.
Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Slayer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jackson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jackson stuffs the takedown.

It looks like Super Slayer has been cut.
Slayer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Slayer slips the punch.

Slayer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Slayer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Slayer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jackson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jackson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Slayer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slayer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Slayer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jackson momentarily.
Jackson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slayer.
Slayer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slayer lands with an uppercut that bounces Jackson off the cage and back into rage.
Slayer cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Slayer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jackson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Jackson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slayer to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Slayer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Slayer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slayer stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slayer thows a body shot but no joy.
Slayer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.
Gus Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Super Slayer.
Jackson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Slayer backs up against the cage.
Slayer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Slayer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely.

Slayer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Slayer is rocked!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson throws a body punch but Slayer moves out of range.
Slayer is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Slayer thows a left - swing and a miss!
BOOM! Jackson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Slayer. Slayer tries to recover but Jackson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Slayer lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gus Jackson!
