The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Rua or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Rua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Rua. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.
Mike Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silvio Rua.
Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rua struggling a bit here.
Jones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rua is trying to escape and Jones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rua is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jones! Very nice indeed!
