The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shawn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rose showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shawn.
Shawn throws a jab but it's blocked by Rose.
Shawn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rose.
Rose misses with a wild combination.
Shawn swinging wildly here.
Shawn just misses with a punch to the body.
Loka Shawn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose misses the shot to the body.
Rose misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shawn takes one to the chin there.
Rose thuds his right hand into Shawn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Shawn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rose lands a jab-cross combination.
Rose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shawn was well out of range. Poor timing from Rose.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shawn moves away.
Rose throws a series of punches but Shawn moves out of range.
Rose connects with a looping right hand.
Shawn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rose stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rose throws a hook to the side of Shawn's head but Shawn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shawn.

Rose jabs Shawn right on the nose. Shawn blinks but takes it well.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rose.
Shawn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rose circles away.
Shawn looks gassed!
Rose bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shawn's head backwards.
Rose thuds a left hand into Shawn's body.
Rose fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shawn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rose scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Shawn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rose swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hunter Rose is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A right-left combo lands from Rose.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shawn moves away.
Rose scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A good leg kick by Rose.
Shawn doesn't manage to clinch there - Rose circles away.

Rose lands a big uppercut and Shawn crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shawn looks OK. Rose waves Shawn back to his feet!

Shawn is rocked!
Rose is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Rose cracks Shawn with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Shawn looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rose finish him?
Shawn is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?

Rose throws a monster overhand right that drops Shawn! Rose follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
