PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedricio Warum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Paul has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Paul seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pedricio Warum!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul throws a head kick but Warum moves out of range.

Warum feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Paul Paul just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Paul moves into full guard.
Paul doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Paul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Warum manages to get himself to full guard.

Paul shoots in for a takedown but Warum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Warum closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Paul shoots for a double leg takedown but Warum sprawls well. He's pushed Paul's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like Pedricio Warum has been cut.
Paul lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Paul closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Paul lands in his opponent's guard.
