The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sanchez has clasped his hands together around Silva's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Sanchez looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Silva is avoiding damage well.
Silva regains half guard.
Silva throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sanchez is working away from the top position though.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sanchez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sanchez advances to half guard.
Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.
Sanchez is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sanchez passes into side control, despite Silva's attempt to control the position.
Sanchez stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanchez on the side of the head.
Sanchez looks up at the clock. Bad move! Silva lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sanchez. Silva pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
