The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawkins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dawkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dawkins plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Dawkins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Obrien.
Horrible takedown by Obrien or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawkins which made him look bad.
Obrien lands a jab to Dawkins's midsection.
Obrien avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Obrien ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dawkins is looking to clinch.
Dawkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dawkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dawkins looks to land a right hand but Obrien moved out of range.
Obrien swings for the body but Dawkins moves out of range.
Dawkins tries a head kick but it misses.

and Obrien connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Tim Dawkins has been cut.
Dawkins throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Obrien throws a leg kick which misses Dawkins's front leg but catches the back leg as Dawkins tries to avoid it.
Dawkins is breathing heavily.
Obrien stalks Dawkins and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dawkins's face. Dawkins staggers backwards, shaken.
Obrien shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Obrien misses with a head kick.
Obrien with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dawkins walks into a straight right hand from Obrien.
Obrien cracks Dawkins with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Tim Dawkins's cut is getting worse.
Dawkins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Obrien slips under a jab.
Dawkins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Obrien fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good exchange - Obrien coming out on top.
Tim Dawkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dawkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Tim Dawkins's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Obrien thuds a left hand into Dawkins's body.
Dawkins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Obrien shoots in but Dawkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tim Dawkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konan Obrien.
Dawkins takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Obrien lands a left and a right that send Dawkins crashing to the mat, dazed. Obrien thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Obrien lands with a big left! Dawkins is wobbled badly! Obrien comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Dawkins to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
