The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hornie misses with a takedown attempt - Athrox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hornie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Athrox as he avoids it easily.
Hornie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Athrox moves away.

Athrox feints and as Hornie raises his hands in defense, Athrox changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hornie keeping moving, preventing Athrox from controlling successfully.
Athrox pushes down on Hornie's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Athrox is controlling the pace.
Athrox trying to mount his opponent but Hornie defends it.
Hornie wants to get back to his feet.

Athrox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hornie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hornie is looking to control Athrox's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hornie avoid being mounted?
Athrox wants to control but Hornie is keeping him busy.

Athrox maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hornie could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Athrox has cracked it and Hornie is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Athrox!
