Brandon Ellagrande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ellagrande uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Malik.

Ellagrande has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Malik finds it's way round the side to connect with Ellagrande's head.
Ellagrande rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Malik moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Malik misses with a double jab.
Ellagrande tries to close the distance and clinch but Malik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Horrible takedown by Ellagrande or perhaps it was just good defense by Malik which made him look bad.
Malik throws a right hand that Ellagrande ducks under and follows up with a left that Ellagrande also avoids with ease.

Ellagrande tries to score a power double leg takedown but Malik sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ellagrande somewhat.

Malik is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Malik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ellagrande.

Malik lands an uppercut, right on the button! Ellagrande tumbles backwards into the ropes, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
