Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Imer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Grind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Grind will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imer staying out of range there.
Grind fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Imer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Imer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Imer has gone for a leg lock! Grind slips out almost immediately though and dives into Imer's guard.

Imer has his foot on Grind's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grind works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grind is looking to stand up but Imer won't let him.
Grind is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Imer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grind gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Imer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grind can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Grind wanted to stand there but Imer had control of the position.
