Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elliot comes into the arena with Party Up blaring out of the sound system. Cole Elliot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Elliot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Cooper!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Elliot or perhaps it was just good defense by Cooper which made him look bad.
Elliot doesn't manage to clinch there - Cooper circles away.
Cooper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Elliot's guard.
Cooper advances to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cooper is working for a submission of some sort.
Elliot tries to roll over but Cooper keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Elliot looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cooper is looking to take a break and control but Elliot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Elliot wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elliot works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cooper trying to control but Elliot is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Elliot doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cooper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Elliot keeping full guard, as Cooper tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cooper trying to control but Elliot is working from the bottom.
Cooper is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Elliot has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cooper is looking to defend but Elliot has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cooper! Elliot pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cooper taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Cole Elliot!
