The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teixeira looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Teixeira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Evreev defends it well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Teixeira working over Evreev with some ground and pound. Evreev looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Teixeira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Teixeira takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Evreev is defending against the submission attempts here by Teixeira.
Teixeira not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Evreev tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Evreev wants to control but Teixeira is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Teixeira is working for a kimura but Evreev is defending it quite comfortably.
Evreev is trying to stand back up but Teixeira is controlling him

Teixeira is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Evreev is looking to improve his position.

Evreev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teixeira is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Teixeira postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Evreev is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Teixeira, into his guard.
Evreev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Teixeira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Teixeira is breathing heavily.

Evreev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evreev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Teixeira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Evreev is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Teixeira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Evreev's back instead.
Evreev trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Teixeira is working for a rear naked choke. Evreev is not defending it well and Teixeira has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Evreev refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Evreev's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
