The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Twilight moves into the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Twilight feints and as Quick raises his hands in defense, Twilight changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Twilight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Quick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Quick trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Twilight drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Twilight jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Twilight lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Twilight.
Twilight works to advance to full mount. Quick defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Twilight won't let Quick get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Twilight is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Quick has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Quick!

Quick throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Twilight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Quick sprawls well initially but Twilight persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Quick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Twilight on the ground.

Twilight is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Quick is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Quick manages to stand up with Twilight still on his back. Eventually Twilight drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Mkat Twilight is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Twilight shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Twilight wants to advance to full mount but Quick doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
