Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Umberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umberto comes to the cage accompanied by Perry Como - Magic Moments. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darius Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umberto closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Umberto pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas takes a swing at Umberto's ribcage but misses.
Umberto looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Thomas swings for the body but Umberto moves out of range.
Thomas stalks Umberto and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Umberto's face. Umberto staggers backwards, shaken.
A nice combination there by Thomas.
It looks like Roberto Umberto has been cut.
Umberto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thomas throws a lazy right hand but Umberto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thomas stuffs the takedown.

Umberto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Umberto gets slowly back to his feet.

Thomas lands a left and a right that send Umberto crashing to the mat, dazed. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Umberto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Umberto. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Umberto takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Thomas cracks Umberto with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Umberto looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Thomas finish him?

Thomas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Umberto circles away quickly and effectively.
Thomas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Umberto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Thomas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Thomas lands a glancing blow to the side of Umberto's head.

Thomas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Thomas drops Umberto with a beautiful combination! Umberto stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thomas is looking for the KO!
Umberto is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas cracks Umberto with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Umberto tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Thomas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Umberto is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darius Thomas!
