PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boyd Crowder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowder comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Disturbed - Down With The Sickness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Boyd Crowder will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jordan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crowder swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jordan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crowder as he avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Horrible takedown by Jordan or perhaps it was just good defense by Crowder which made him look bad.

Crowder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Crowder showed some decent athleticism there.
Jordan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crowder thows a huge punch but Jordan dodges it nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crowder connects with a nice short shot to Jordan's temple.

BOOM! Crowder connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jordan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Jordan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Crowder loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jordan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Crowder land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Crowder stands and salutes the crowd.
