Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hungry Like The Wolf. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon misses with a few strikes there.
Boon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boon as he jumps to the side.

Jenkins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boon is not content to let Jenkins control the position.
Boon regains half guard, as Jenkins was trying to land strikes.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jenkins postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boon looks a forlorn figure.

Jenkins with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Boon is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jenkins is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boon has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boon tries to hold on but Jenkins pushes him away.

Jenkins jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Boon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Boon and Jenkins has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Jenkins is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Boon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ground and pound from Jenkins seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
