Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacKallister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacKallister's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Four Horsemen by Metallica. Walker has chosen Ride Till I Die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Wandy Walker will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane MacKallister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wandy Walker!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacKallister drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Walker keeping full guard, as MacKallister tries to pass.
MacKallister throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
MacKallister trying to move into half guard but instead Walker has managed to sweep!
MacKallister managing to control the position.
Walker wants to pass the guard but MacKallister is keeping the position.
MacKallister keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Walker trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but MacKallister manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacKallister lands a couple of digs.
MacKallister throws and elbow that misses. Walker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in MacKallister's guard. Nice move by Walker!
MacKallister looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there.

MacKallister working for a triangle but Walker defends it easily.
Walker prevents MacKallister from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Walker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacKallister swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Walker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
MacKallister has a closed guard, preventing Walker from standing up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
MacKallister tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

MacKallister shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Walker keeping hold of MacKallister's head, controlling as best he can.
Walker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from MacKallister.

MacKallister stalling away here and it's allowed Walker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

MacKallister stands up from Walker's guard - MacKallister perhaps looking for a knockout.

MacKallister bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Walker prevents MacKallister from moving into mount.
MacKallister tries to move to full mount but Walker actually manages to regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
MacKallister is controlling the pace.
MacKallister wants to pass to mount but Walker is defending the position.
Walker wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane MacKallister dominated that round.
That's time! MacKallister's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


MacKallister moves away from the strike by Walker.
Walker misses with an uppercut. MacKallister saw that one coming.
MacKallister moves out of range as Walker strikes.
Walker throws an overhand right that lands on MacKallister's shoulder, as MacKallister tries to avoid the shot.
Walker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and MacKallister counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Walker's guard now.
Walker is looking to stand up but MacKallister isn't so interested in that idea.
MacKallister is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Walker pushes down on MacKallister's leg and manages to get into half guard.
MacKallister might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Walker is trying to control the action in half guard but MacKallister is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Walker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so MacKallister is just riding it out for now. Walker eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Shane MacKallister has been cut.

MacKallister has taken the fight to the clinch.
MacKallister goes for a takedown attempt but Walker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Walker tries to clinch but MacKallister moves out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by MacKallister as he connects with a hook.
Walker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. MacKallister doesn't seem bothered though.
MacKallister moves out of range of the strikes.
A cross from MacKallister lands.
MacKallister drops his hands momentarily and Walker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Walker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
MacKallister lands a head shot.
Walker slips a jab and a cross from MacKallister.
A big left from Walker misses.

MacKallister shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Walker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
MacKallister looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Walker is avoiding damage well.

MacKallister in side control, throwing shots but Walker defends.
Walker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but MacKallister has just dragged him back down to the mat.
MacKallister throwing strikes but Walker manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
MacKallister can't do much from the bottom here.
Walker has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for MacKallister!

Walker goes for an armbar but he's not got it… MacKallister turns into him and now he's in Walker's guard.
Walker is breathing heavily.
MacKallister connects with a couple of short punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

MacKallister postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of MacKallister, into his guard.
Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacKallister swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Walker won't allow MacKallister to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walker stands and throws MacKallister's legs to the side, diving into side control.
MacKallister tries to buck Walker off but Walker is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane MacKallister will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Shane MacKallister's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A big right from Walker misses.
Wandy Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacKallister blocks a low kick nicely.
Walker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

MacKallister shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard.

MacKallister stands up from Walker's guard - MacKallister perhaps looking for a knockout.

MacKallister pushes Walker up against the cage in a clinch.

MacKallister escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and MacKallister counters by moving into the clinch.
MacKallister changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Walker misses with a telegraphed body shot

and MacKallister counters with a single leg into guard. Walker didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
MacKallister wanted to stand there but Walker had control of the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
MacKallister is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Walker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes MacKallister off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

MacKallister closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Walker manages to break the clinch.

MacKallister clinches up with Walker and pushes him back against the cage.
Walker is trying to force a seperation but MacKallister has the dominant position.

MacKallister is trying to trip Walker. He has hold of a leg but Walker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. MacKallister persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MacKallister is controlling him.

MacKallister wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.

Walker throws a looping overhand right but MacKallister ducks down to avoid it.
Wandy Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Walker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

MacKallister shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
MacKallister wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
MacKallister is working Walker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

MacKallister wants to stand but Walker is controlling his posture from full guard.
Shane MacKallister is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells MacKallister's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

And that's the end of the fight!
Shane MacKallister showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for MacKallister, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
