Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Media!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Eberhart!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Media misses.

Media shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Eberhart's guard.

Eberhart is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Media is aware though and is defending well.

Media got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eberhart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Media has managed to get both his arms back between Eberhart's legs - danger averted.

Eberhart has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Media can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Eberhart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Media defends well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Media is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Eberhart has managed to free his arm - good work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eberhart has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Media is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Eberhart.

Media has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Media swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Media will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Eberhart lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Media throws a sloppy head kick and Eberhart moves out of range easily.

and Eberhart counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Eberhart pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Eberhart throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Media was covering up waiting for the punch and Eberhart finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Eberhart thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Eberhart is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Eberhart tries to free his leg and advance position but Media is retaining full guard.

Media trying to strike off his back.

Eberhart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eberhart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Eberhart drops back, looking for a kneebar! Media looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Media looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Media!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eberhart is looking for a sweep.
Media wants to control but Eberhart is keeping him busy.
Eberhart is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Media is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Eberhart!

Paul Media overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Media lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Eberhart sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Eberhart is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Media pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eberhart is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Media scores with a couple of nice shots.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Eberhart has his foot on Media's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Media works his way back into a safe position though.

Eberhart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Media gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Eberhart pushes a forearm under Media's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Media is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andrew Eberhart!
