Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trent Hondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Paul Valley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sky is the limit. Trent Hondo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jean Paul Valley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hondo throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hondo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Valley on the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Hondo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Valley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hondo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hondo cracks Valley with an open hand slap.
Valley shoots in but Hondo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd cheers as Hondo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Valley doesn't seem phased though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hondo is fending him off so far but Valley persists. Nope, Hondo circles away and we're back to standing.

Valley feints and as Hondo raises his hands in defense, Valley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Valley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hondo throws a strike but Valley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hondo takes a swing at Valley's ribcage but misses.

Valley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hondo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hondo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hondo tries to get out of the position.

Valley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Valley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hondo keeps working.

Hondo wants to get back to his feet but Valley drags him back down.
Valley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hondo parries the strikes from Valley easily there. Valley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hondo to escape.

Valley closes the distance and clinches up with Hondo, looking for a takedown. Valley pushes Hondo against the cage but Hondo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Trent Hondo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hondo leaves Valley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
