The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gruber's calf.

David lands a left and a right that send Gruber crashing to the mat, dazed. David thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Hans Gruber has been cut.
Gruber slips a jab and a cross from David.
David getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Gruber is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
David throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gruber.
Nice takedown defense from David. No joy for Gruber on that attempt.
Gruber misses with a takedown attempt - David sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gruber tries to close the distance and clinch up but David swats him away and circles back towards the center.

David lands a big head kick that sends Gruber tumbling to the mat! David takes a step backwards and waves Gruber back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gruber is still on wobbly legs! Can David finish him?
Gruber is holding his hands too far apart here. David throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Gruber is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
