Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Mccaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micah Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccaughan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mccaughan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Daniels is looking to clinch but Mccaughan is avoiding it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Daniels looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Daniels drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mccaughan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mccaughan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mccaughan!
Daniels is not content to let Mccaughan control the position.
Mccaughan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mccaughan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mccaughan is keen to just control but Daniels is a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mccaughan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mccaughan wants to slow Daniels down by chopping away at his legs.
Mccaughan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daniels as he jumps to the side.

Mccaughan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniels.

and Daniels counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mccaughan won't be happy with that.

Daniels drops back looking for a leg! Mccaughan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mccaughan manages to kick Daniels off! Daniels jumps back into Mccaughan's guard.

Daniels postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mccaughan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Daniels, into his guard.
Daniels is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Daniels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mccaughan tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Daniels passes the guard and advances to mount!

Daniels looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Mccaughan bucks up and throws Daniels to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

so Mccaughan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Daniels had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mccaughan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Daniels Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mccaughan's back instead.
