And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Turner!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Turner digs a good body shot into Smith's ribs.
Turner throws a one two combo.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A nice combination there by Turner.
Smith closes the distance but Turner moves to the side
and Turner counters with a nice body kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Turner.
Turner lands a two punch combo.
Smith looks to clinch

and Turner counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Turner throws a knee to the head but misses.

Turner gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Smith pushes Turner off but Turner dives into side control.

Turner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Mike Smith has been cut.

Turner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Turner in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Turner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smith has escaped the position, nice work there.
Smith takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Turner looks gassed!

Turner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.
Turner throws an elbow but Smith slips to the side and avoids it well.
Smith is looking for a sweep.
Turner lands a nice forearm strike.

Smith takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Smith is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Turner asserts his dominance and retains side control.
