Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Romario Baixinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamir Rolofzki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romario Baixinho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romario Baixinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hamir Rolofzki!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baixinho is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rolofzki gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rolofzki goes for a takedown attempt but Baixinho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Baixinho tries to clinch but Rolofzki moves away
and Rolofzki counters with a nice low kick that buckles Baixinho's knee momentarily.
Baixinho closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rolofzki counters with a body kick that stops Baixinho in his tracks momentarily.
Baixinho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rolofzki.

and Rolofzki counters with a straight right hand.

and Rolofzki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rolofzki.
Still in the clinch, Baixinho scores with a nice short uppercut.
Baixinho gets through Rolofzki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Rolofzki's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Baixinho throws a head punch that misses.
Baixinho prevents Rolofzki from breaking the clinch.
Baixinho keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rolofzki's efforts to push away.
Rolofzki wants a takedown.
Romario Baixinho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamir Rolofzki.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baixinho misses with a short punch on the inside.

Baixinho tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Rolofzki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Rolofzki wants to get back to striking at distance but Baixinho won't allow it.
Baixinho scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Rolofzki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baixinho fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Baixinho clinches but Rolofzki breaks the clinch
and Rolofzki counters with a head kick. That will keep Baixinho thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Rolofzki counters with a single leg into guard. Baixinho didn't expect that.
Rolofzki stops Baixinho from standing up.
Rolofzki wants to control from the top but Baixinho keeps moving.
Rolofzki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Baixinho is trying to get back to his feet.
Baixinho is breathing heavily.

Rolofzki stands up and beckons Baixinho to his feet.
Rolofzki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rolofzki tries to pull guard but Baixinho won't allow it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rolofzki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Baixinho gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Baixinho lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Rolofzki fails to pull guard.
Baixinho misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rolofzki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Baixinho smiles and moves away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baixinho blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rolofzki.
Baixinho is refusing to be controlled, as Rolofzki sits in half guard.
Rolofzki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Baixinho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rolofzki on the ground.
Rolofzki uses his free foot to push down on Baixinho's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Baixinho.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rolofzki tries to control but Baixinho wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamir Rolofzki dominated that round.

Baixinho closes the distance looking to clinch

so Rolofzki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rolofzki tries to free his leg and advance position but Baixinho is retaining full guard.
Baixinho avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rolofzki trying to control the position from guard on top but Baixinho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rolofzki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baixinho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baixinho keeping moving, preventing Rolofzki from controlling successfully.
Baixinho will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rolofzki might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Baixinho kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Rolofzki feints and as Baixinho raises his hands in defense, Rolofzki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rolofzki trying to control but Baixinho is working from the bottom.
Rolofzki working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rolofzki wants to pass the guard but Baixinho is keeping the position.

Rolofzki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Rolofzki tries to free his leg and advance position but Baixinho is retaining full guard.
Baixinho wants to get back to his feet but Rolofzki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Baixinho wants to clinch but Rolofzki slips to the side

and Rolofzki counters with a takedown into side control.
Rolofzki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Rolofzki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
A lull in the action here as Rolofzki stalls from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamir Rolofzki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Rolofzki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baixinho as he avoids it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rolofzki is keen to just control but Baixinho is a slippery customer.

Rolofzki is looking for a kimura here.
Rolofzki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baixinho keeps working.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rolofzki wants to stand up but Baixinho is controlling the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rolofzki has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rolofzki looking to ground and pound but Baixinho is blocking nicely.

Rolofzki tries to control but Baixinho wriggling away.

Rolofzki looking for a guillotine from mount but Baixinho is having none of it.
Romario Baixinho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Baixinho is squirming around, avoiding Rolofzki's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rolofzki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Rolofzki there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

And that's the end of the fight!
Hamir Rolofzki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rolofzki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
