Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chuck O Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Too Sexy. Chuck O Brian has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brian throws a right and a left that Roy avoids nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roy is defended easily by O Brian.
O Brian lands a jab to the nose.

Roy is still on wobbly legs! Can O Brian finish him?

O Brian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roy.
Roy seems to have recovered his senses.
No joy there for O Brian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
O Brian looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

O Brian controls Roy momentarily but Roy frees himself.
Roy forces his way into half guard.
O Brian is looking for a sweep. Roy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
O Brian tries to kick Roy off but Roy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
O Brian has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roy is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
O Brian fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
O Brian is breathing heavily.

O Brian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. O Brian showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roy is trying to stick to O Brian's back but O Brian is turning into Roy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Roy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by O Brian.

O Brian throws and elbow that misses. Roy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in O Brian's guard. Nice move by Roy!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

O Brian throws a jab when Roy was well out of range.
Roy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from O Brian.
O Brian looks to land a combination but Roy avoids it well.
O Brian moves in looking to clinch but Roy pushes him off.

The fighters circling - O Brian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Roy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Roy advances position into side control!
O Brian tries to improve position but can't.
O Brian pushes Roy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Roy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
O Brian might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
O Brian wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Roy has hold of O Brian's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! O Brian tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Roy cranks the arm and O Brian screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from O Brian, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
