Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kage Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cayden Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chiba has his hands on Johnson's head, controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chiba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chiba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Johnson is trying to keep Chiba in close.

Chiba drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Chiba off! Chiba jumps back into Johnson's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chiba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chiba feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chiba is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Chiba is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chiba pulls Johnson in to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chiba manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Chiba keeps moving.
Chiba will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
