Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Thunder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Logan!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Thunder misses.
Logan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Logan shoots for a takedown but Thunder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Logan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thunder sprawls well. Thunder wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Logan gets slowly back to his feet.

Logan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thunder is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Logan is controlling him.
Logan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Thunder is looking to stand up but Logan isn't so interested in that idea.
Thunder keeping moving, preventing Logan from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Logan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Thunder is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Logan closes the distance and clinches.
Thunder wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Logan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thunder's efforts to push away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A frustrated look appears on Thunder's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Logan has clasped his hands together around Thunder's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Thunder wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Logan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thunder, who protects the arm well.
Logan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Logan is trying to get an arm triangle but Thunder is defending well.

Logan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Logan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Thunder is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Logan is controlling him well.
Thunder is not content to let Logan control the position.

Logan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thunder has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thunder is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Thunder is breathing heavily.
Logan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Thunder will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Logan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Thunder down.

Logan tries for a kimura but Thunder is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Logan shoots for a takedown but Thunder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Thunder is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Logan has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Logan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thunder, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Thunder is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Logan is controlling him well.

Logan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thunder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Logan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thunder has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Logan but great work by Thunder.

Logan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thunder's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Thunder wants to get back to his feet.
Logan works his way to full guard. Good work.

Logan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Thunder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Logan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thunder's half guard.

Logan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Thunder!

Logan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Thunder is surviving well by controlling Logan's body position as best he can.

The referee warns Thunder that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Logan is working for a guillotine from mount but Thunder frees his head quite easily.

Logan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Logan has control of Thunder's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thunder regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Logan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Paul Logan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ken Thunder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Logan.

Ken Thunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
