Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Waddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wallus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Wallus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waddy fails with a takedown attempt.
Waddy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wallus swivels and escapes.
Waddy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wallus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Waddy shoots in for a double leg but Wallus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Waddy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wallus feints and then cracks Waddy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Waddy down.

Waddy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wallus can pounce on him.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Waddy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Wallus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
