Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Grantton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grantton scores with a shot to the body.
Grantton cracks Ribeiro with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ribeiro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grantton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ribeiro, into his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ribeiro has his foot on Grantton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grantton works his way back into a safe position though.
Grantton seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ribeiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grantton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Grantton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribeiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grantton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Grantton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
