Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nines Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ninja Berto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez comes to the cage accompanied by Angel - Massive Attack. Nines Rodriguez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez tries to clinch there but Berto circles away.
Rodriguez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodriguez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Berto lands a nice shot to the body.
Berto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Berto throws a leg kick that misses.
Rodriguez walks into a left hand.
Berto buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Berto throws a front kick aimed at Rodriguez's knee but Rodriguez avoids it well.
Rodriguez tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rodriguez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Berto.

Berto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rodriguez throws a body punch but Berto moves out of range.
Rodriguez throws a looping overhand right but Berto ducks down to avoid it.

Rodriguez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Rodriguez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Berto tries to keep at a distance but Rodriguez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Berto has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rodriguez uses from the top position.

Berto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rodriguez defends well.

Berto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriguez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Berto pulls Rodriguez in close to prevent any damage.

Rodriguez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rodriguez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Rodriguez lands a nice shot that snaps Berto's head back.

Rodriguez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Rodriguez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nines Rodriguez will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Berto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Berto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rodriguez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Berto colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Rodriguez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Berto is left battered and dazed whilst Rodriguez and his camp cheer!
