Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between johnny begood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from begood. Lesner does a little dance to reset his feet.
No joy there for Lesner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

begood gets a clinch.
Lesner wants to break free but begood has control.

begood pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lesner throws a right and a left that both miss.

begood shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lesner napping and manages to drive through into side control!

begood remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

begood fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lesner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Lesner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

It looks like johnny begood has been cut.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting begood here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Lesner creates some space and throws a big elbow, but begood sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
