The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson misses with the combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salmon circles away.
Bob Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salmon defends it nicely.

Salmon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salmon wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson looks gassed!
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salmon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.

Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

It looks like Bob Johnson has been cut.
Salmon lands a glancing blow to the side of Johnson's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Salmon lands a jab to Johnson's midsection.
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Johnson takes one to the side of the head.
Salmon grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Johnson takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Salmon cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
