Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rawls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Oden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thor Oden will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oden lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rawls backs up against the cage.
Rawls looks for a takedown but Oden sprawls well.
Oden closes the distance and clinches.

Rawls drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Oden dives on top into guard.
Rawls had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Oden is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rawls Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Oden's back instead.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Oden lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Oden.

John Rawls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rawls fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rawls closes the distance and clinches up with Oden, looking for a takedown. Rawls pushes Oden against the cage but Oden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rawls moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Oden wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rawls has him pressed against the cage.
Oden manages to break the clinch.
Oden lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rawls changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oden tries to avoid it but Rawls manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oden to the ground. Oden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Oden scores with a one two! Rawls had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Rawls shoots in looking for a takedown. Oden tries to sprawl out of it but Rawls keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rawls is working to tighten is grip on Oden's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Oden has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rawls is really squeezing tight and eventually Oden passes out! Rawls breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
