The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dutra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martin circles away.
Martin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dutra tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Martin is able to avoid easily.
Dutra slips a straight right by Martin.
Nice sprawl there from Dutra as Martin shoots in.
Martin tried to score with a low kick but Dutra checks it.
Dutra circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dutra clinches up with Martin and pushes him back against the cage.

Dutra is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Martin throws a lazy right hand but Dutra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Martin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Martin tries to get out of the position.

Dutra seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Martin is holding on tight.
Dutra can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Martin is looking to escape.

Dutra manages to capitalize on a mistake by Martin to take his back!

Dutra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Martin trying to control the position but Dutra manages to sink in the hooks.
Martin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Martin is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matheus Dutra dominated that round.

Dutra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Dutra counters with a good low kick that Martin was not able to check.
Carter Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dutra moves out of range of the body kick from Martin.
Dutra looks for a takedown but Martin sprawls well.
Carter Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matheus Dutra.
Dutra shoots for a takedown but Martin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dutra gets control of Martin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dutra will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Martin is looking to stand up but Dutra won't let him.
Martin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dutra to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Martin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dutra pulls down on the head and he's put Martin to sleep! This one is all over!
