The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whites scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Morris is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Whites pulls his head out easily.
Whites thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morris's head.
Morris missing with punches from the bottom.
Whites missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whites throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Morris is not content to let Whites control the position.
Morris gets back to full guard.
Whites avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris wants to sweep here but Whites controlling him for the moment.
Whites is in close to Morris's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Whites wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morris is on top in guard.

Whites had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morris defends it easily.
Whites tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Whites pushes Morris off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jack Morris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morris lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Whites circles away quickly and effectively.
Morris scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Whites doesn't seem bothered though.
Whites looks gassed!
Whites takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Morris stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Morris throws a combination. Whites tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Pearl Whites has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morris shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morris trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Whites can't escape the position.
Morris wants to control the pace but Whites is squirming around nicely.
Whites is looking to get to half guard.
Morris scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Morris stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A punch combination from Morris misses.
Morris lands a right hook to the body.
Morris fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Whites looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Morris closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morris lands in his opponent's guard.

Morris forces his way into half guard.
Morris passes to side control.
Whites is looking for a sweep.
Morris moves into full mount!
Morris is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Morris manages to capitalize on a mistake by Whites to take his back!
Morris is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Morris is looking for the choke from the back position but Whites is controlling his hands well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Morris ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Whites takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Morris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Morris lands a high kick!
Morris wants to clinch.
Whites shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morris is trying to defend but Whites finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Whites lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Morris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Whites lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Whites is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Morris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Whites's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Whites's back!

Morris throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Whites rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Whites tries to get to full guard but Morris has control of the leg.
Whites is breathing heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jack Morris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Whites is trying to maintain the position but Morris is very close to passing his half guard.
Morris wants to pass to mount but Whites is defending the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Morris shoots and misses
and Whites counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Morris!
Morris wants to control but Whites is having none of it.
Morris working to try and regain half guard.
Whites raining down shots from the mount!
Morris tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Whites fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Whites looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Morris is desperately trying to improve his position but Whites has a good base and remains in mount.
Whites avoids the attempt from Morris to control.
Whites working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Morris turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Whites off and cradles Morris's limp body as Whites celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Pearl Whites!
