The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for The Crusher.

The Crusher gets a takedown into half guard.

The Crusher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so hatfield is just riding it out for now. The Crusher eventually gives up the hold.
hatfield is trying to get back to full guard.
The Crusher has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, hatfield works to full guard.

The Crusher stands and steps away. hatfield gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The Crusher changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. hatfield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Crusher decides to stand up, so the ref orders hatfield to his feet.
hatfield tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Crusher sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten hatfield somewhat.

hatfield looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? The Crusher is fending him off so far but hatfield persists. Nope, The Crusher circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well The Crusher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
