Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Lacroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Lacroix!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan throws a series of punches but Lacroix moves out of range.
Lacroix misses with a double jab
and Morgan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Morgan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lacroix swivels and escapes.
Morgan misses with a hook.
Morgan fails to land the takedown.
Lacroix shoots in for a double leg but Morgan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lacroix throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Morgan slips a straight right by Lacroix.
Morgan lands an overhand right.
Lacroix steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Morgan.
Morgan defending well as Lacroix loads up on a big left hand.
Lacroix falls off balance throwing a combination
and Morgan counters with a stiff right hand.
Lacroix looks for a takedown but Morgan sprawls well.
Lacroix avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dexter Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morgan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Lacroix.
Horrible takedown by Lacroix or perhaps it was just good defense by Morgan which made him look bad.
Dexter Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Lacroix.
Morgan misses with a straight left.
Morgan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lacroix will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Morgan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lacroix.
Morgan lands a jab to the head.
Morgan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lacroix bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Morgan throws a jab but it's blocked by Lacroix.
Lacroix misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Morgan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Lacroix drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lacroix looks gassed!
Lacroix is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morgan throws a jab when Lacroix was well out of range.

Morgan lands a left and a right that send Lacroix crashing to the mat, dazed. Morgan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lacroix is rocked!
Morgan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lacroix staying out of range there.
Lacroix is still on wobbly legs! Can Morgan finish him?
Lacroix ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lacroix seems to have recovered his senses.

Morgan sends Lacroix crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Morgan is motioning to the referee to let Lacroix up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Morgan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lacroix tries to get into range but Morgan steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Lacroix! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Morgan scores the big KO victory!
