Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Severino Holyfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Sit Hirun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holyfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sit Hirun 's waist but Sit Hirun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holyfield off to one side.
Sit Hirun tries to clinch but Holyfield moves out of range.

Sit Hirun throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Holyfield blocks it with crossed arms.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sit Hirun is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Holyfield defends well.

Sit Hirun tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Holyfield just stands there and leans against the cage.

Holyfield jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sit Hirun walks away with a smile on his face. Holyfield gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Holyfield tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sit Hirun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holyfield somewhat.
Holyfield avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sit Hirun is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Holyfield wants to get back to his feet but Sit Hirun is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sit Hirun wants to control from the top but Holyfield keeps moving.

Sit Hirun pushes down on Holyfield's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sit Hirun decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sit Hirun gets to his feet - Holyfield follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Severino Holyfield will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sit Hirun shoots in but Holyfield avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Holyfield connects with a nice cross there... Sit Hirun is looking wobbly and Holyfield recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Sit Hirun to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Holyfield jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
