Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elvin Ruez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruez comes into the arena with Face Breaker - Poison Pen blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No joy there for Grey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ruez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grey moves away.

Ruez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grey as he avoids it easily.
Grey throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Grey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ruez on the side of the head.
Ruez throws a series of punches but Grey avoids them all with ease.
Ruez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Desmond Grey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circle momentarily. Grey darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
