Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the ring accompanied by Kanye West- Amazing . Chuck Liddell will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range.
Diaz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nice uppercut lands for Liddell. That snapped Diaz's head back.
Liddell loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch.
Diaz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Liddell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diaz wants to clinch up but Liddell keeps it at a distance.
Liddell pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liddell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Liddell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddell wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
Liddell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Liddell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Diaz sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liddell circles away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Liddell looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Diaz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Liddell is just riding it out for now. Diaz eventually gives up the hold.

Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Liddell wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy.

Liddell tries to kick Diaz off but Diaz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Diaz is looking for a kimura but Liddell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage.

Diaz stands up and beckons Liddell to join him on the feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Liddell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Diaz stacks Liddell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Diaz!

I would just about give that final round to Chuck Liddell.
I think Liddell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
