Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hawaiian Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen My time is NOW! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Erwin Rodriguez enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawaiian Assassin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Erwin Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rodriguez stuffs the takedown attempt from Assassin. Assassin gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodriguez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rodriguez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Assassin is looking to stand up but Rodriguez isn't so interested in that idea.

Rodriguez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rodriguez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Assassin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Assassin turns into him and now he's in Rodriguez's guard.

Rodriguez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Assassin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rodriguez has Assassin in his guard.

Rodriguez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Assassin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Assassin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rodriguez cranks the arm and Assassin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Assassin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
