Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masakra MKita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bozigit Atayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Masakra MKita has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MKita looks for a takedown but Atayev sprawls well.
Atayev looks to throw the jab but MKita is out of range.
Atayev throws a series of strikes that have MKita backpedaling.

It looks like Masakra MKita has been cut.

Atayev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Atayev is taking a breather. MKita says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Atayev wants to pass to mount but MKita is defending the position.
Atayev thows a huge punch but MKita dodges it nicely.
MKita is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Atayev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Atayev's back!
MKita is not going to allow Atayev to sit and survive in this position.
I really don't envy Atayev right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Atayev rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Atayev has one foot on MKita's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
MKita shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Atayev as he avoids it easily.
MKita looks for a takedown but Atayev sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masakra MKita. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
MKita drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Atayev gets the underhooks and prevents it.

MKita could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Atayev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming MKita to the mat! MKita manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

MKita scores with a hook to the body. Atayev takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Atayev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? MKita is fending him off so far but Atayev persists. Nope, MKita circles away and we're back to standing.
Atayev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but MKita avoids it really well and circles away.

and Atayev counters with a good low kick that MKita was not able to check.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Atayev takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Atayev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Atayev has closed the distance and engaged MKita in a clinch.
MKita can't break the clinch.
MKita tries to circle away but Atayev has him pinned against the cage.

Atayev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
MKita walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Atayev drives through and clinches with MKita against the cage.
MKita is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Atayev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Atayev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Atayev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from MKita.

MKita gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

MKita can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Atayev controls the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Atayev wants to control from the top but MKita keeps moving.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Atayev.
Atayev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bozigit Atayev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MKita shoots and misses

and Atayev counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Atayev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
MKita trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Atayev decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
MKita fails with a takedown attempt.
Atayev throws a quick inside leg kick.

Atayev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
MKita tries to get to full guard but Atayev has control of the leg.

Atayev frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
MKita tries to control the position but Atayev now has his back.

Atayev has managed to slip his arm under MKita's chin. This could be all over... yep, MKita is tapping out! Submission win for Atayev.
