Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaylan Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Showdown - Black Eyed Peas. Kaylan Heath could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Manny Orton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaylan Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Orton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heath closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Orton tries to bench press Heath off him but Heath keeps the position.
Heath lands an elbow.
Heath is looking to take a break and control but Orton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Heath controlling from side mount.

Heath tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Heath is trying to get an arm triangle but Orton is defending well.
Heath in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Heath is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Orton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Heath tries for a kimura but Orton is defending well.

Heath is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Orton has escaped the position, nice work there.
Heath is breathing heavily.

Heath swings around for an armbar but Orton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Heath's guard.

Orton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Heath has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Orton has managed to get both his arms back between Heath's legs - danger averted.

Heath looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Orton stopping the sweep attempt from Heath.
Heath avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Orton wants to pass the guard but Heath is keeping the position.

Heath is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Orton defends well.

Orton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Orton trying to control the position from guard on top but Heath is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Heath working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Orton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Orton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Orton wants to pass the guard but Heath is keeping the position.

Orton wants to get up but he can't break Heath's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Heath might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Heath is looking for a triangle but Orton pushes his legs off easily.
Heath is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Heath is working for a kimura but Orton is defending it quite comfortably.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Heath lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaylan Heath dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A combination from Orton does no damage.
Orton tries for a takedown but Heath circles away easily

so Heath counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Heath scoring with punches to the head and body.
Heath passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Heath wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Orton, who protects the arm well.
Heath lands a nice forearm strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Heath has hold of Orton's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Orton tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Heath cranks the arm and Orton screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Orton, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
