Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Parker is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Meridius has managed to free his arm - good work.

Meridius on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meridius tries to get out of the position.

Meridius pushes Parker off looking to stand but Parker dives back in and keeps control.
Meridius is looking to get back to is feet but Parker passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Parker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Parker is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Meridius can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parker.
Meridius displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Meridius lands with an uppercut that bounces Parker off the cage and back into rage.
Parker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Parker tries to clinch up but Meridius circles away and keeps his distance.
Parker slips a straight right by Meridius.
Meridius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Parker tries to clinch but Meridius moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Parker dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Parker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Meridius misses with a series of wild punches.
Parker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meridius circles away.

Meridius feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Parker's calf.
Parker is still on wobbly legs! Can Meridius finish him?
Meridius connects with a stiff jab that staggers Parker - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Maximus Meridius!
