Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between david miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Damion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damion is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You're Going Down. david miller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
miller scores with a one two! Damion had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Damion throws a sloppy head kick and miller moves out of range easily.
Damion thows a body shot but no joy.
Damion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? miller is fending him off so far but Damion persists. Nope, miller circles away and we're back to standing.
A head kick misses from Damion.
miller throws a head kick but Damion moves out of range.
miller lands with a hook. Damion tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and miller counters with a nice leg kick.

Damion is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Damion is squirming around, avoiding miller's attempts to control the action.
Damion tries to reverse the position but miller maintains control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Damion pulls miller in close to his closed guard and prevents miller from doing any damage or advancing position.

Damion shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Damion was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

miller manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Damion wants to work for an arm triangle but miller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
miller is looking to control Damion's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can miller avoid being mounted?
miller wants to improve his position but Damion is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
miller is staying active underneath Damion, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Damion is trying to control the action in half guard but miller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Damion decides to return to a standing position.
Damion shoots in and drives through. miller sprawls well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Damion fakes high and swings low for a body shot but miller manages to avoid it.

miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Damion clinches up against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Damion as miller tries to tie him up.
Damion has hold of one of miller's legs. miller is fighting the takedown attempt but Damion gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Damion wants to pass the guard but miller is keeping the position.

and Damion decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in miller's guard.
Damion prevents miller from getting back to his feet.
miller scrambles and gets back to his feet.

miller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Damion is trying to control miller's posture but miller avoids it.

Damion might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control miller kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Marcus Damion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

miller is looking for a sweep. Damion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Damion connects with a nice short shot to miller's temple.

Damion passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for miller!

Damion trying to control but miller is having none of it.
Damion thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Damion can't control as he wanted to and miller manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Damion stands up out of the half guard.
Damion fails with a takedown attempt.
miller shoots in but no luck this time.
miller buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Damion throws a head kick but miller moves out of range.
miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Damion swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Damion leaves miller with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for david miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
miller tries to clinch there but Damion circles away.
miller shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Damion napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Marcus Damion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
